Bodysattva Healing Arts Center

What we are about...

It has long been our vision to create a healing arts center that generates a better quality of life for our clients by utilizing a variety of therapeutic disciplines and practitioners to educate, produce healing and ultimately increase awareness around the body.  The term Bodysattva was born out of this vision as it pairs body with awareness, or the desire to deepen and practice connecting with our closest resource; our own body’s wisdom.  We intend the Bodysattva Healing Arts Center to be a place where you can slow down enough to listen to your body, where you can acquire self-awareness techniques to experience a deep level of relaxation and healing.

For over a decade, our focus and style of working with individuals has been consistent and has expanded and evolved to include a diverse mix of committed practitioners with one and the same goal:  Be the medium by which individuals can live more fully by connecting with themselves in a safe environment.

In terms of the body, we believe that we tend to limit ourselves by our thinking, meaning we have preconceived ways of perceiving our abilities and weaknesses.  Though we feel it is important to address any physical limitations and concerns, it is also important to explore in what ways these considerations can be used in the process of opening up other possibilities for us.  Meaning exploring the possibility our bodies hold for us despite our self-imposed limits.  When we practice the art of building awareness around the body we can explore the dimensions of knowledge our bodies offer.  Building awareness around your own body can be a platform from which to launch awareness in many other areas of your life.  So often we get caught up in the speed of life and neglect that which lies below our necks, we become left brain oriented with our focus on the future and how much we can accomplish to get on to the next thing.  To live from our bodies, or to live cohesively of ourselves, to live fully, requires integration of the left and right brain, the thinking mind and the creative self.  It means connecting with that vast resource of wisdom which is our bodies.  Balance in all the various areas of our life produces a fuller more savory life.
